How to plan balloon decor for a shop, café or office opening in Kraków: what to order, brand colours, logos, VAT invoice, timeline and a handy checklist.
Opening a new shop, café, salon or clinic is the moment you need to get noticed – quickly and without a huge advertising budget. A balloon display at the entrance is one of the simplest ways to show passers-by that something new has arrived in the neighbourhood. In this guide we explain what to order, how to use your brand colours and how to plan everything step by step.
Why do balloons work for openings?
On a street full of shop windows, signs and adverts, standing out is hard. A large, colourful shape by the door catches the eye from a distance – including drivers and tram passengers – and sends a clear message: “this place is new, come in”. Balloons are associated with celebration, so they create a friendly, welcoming mood, and they look great in photos. Guests love taking pictures by an arch or photo wall and posting them on social media, tagging your business.
What should you order?
The right choice depends on the size of your shopfront, the space in front of the entrance and your budget. The most popular elements:
- Columns at the entrance – two columns framing the door are an opening classic. They take up little space and are clearly visible from the pavement. From 320 zł each.
- Garland over the door or window – frames the entrance and visually “opens” it. A classic garland costs from 140 zł/m.
- Balloon arch – the strongest statement, ideal for a wider entrance or a shopping arcade. From 790 zł.
- Easel with a sign – “Grand opening”, “Welcome”, opening hours or a launch offer. From 690 zł.
- Helium balloons – to hand out to your first customers or to decorate the interior. 20 balloons delivered within Kraków cost 280 zł.

Brand colours and logo
Your opening decor should be instantly associated with your business. Send us your brand guidelines, colour codes or simply a photo of your sign, and we will match the balloon shades as closely as possible. A good rule of thumb: one or two brand colours plus a neutral (white, cream or black), so the display does not look too busy.
The easiest place for your logo or business name is the easel board or the photo wall. Balloons printed with your logo need a longer lead time, so ask about them well in advance.
VAT invoice and practicalities
We invoice all business orders with a VAT invoice – just give us your company details when booking. Prices in the calculator are gross and include installation, removal and delivery within Kraków. If the decor is going to stand on the pavement outside or inside a shopping centre, check the rules with the building or site manager in advance – sometimes their approval is required.
Timeline: what to do when
3–4 weeks before opening: set the date, check the price in the calculator and reserve your slot with a 30% deposit. If you want logo balloons, this is the last good moment.
2 weeks before: send your brand colours, the text for any signs and a photo of the entrance with measurements. We will prepare a proposal and confirm the details.
A few days before: confirm the installation time and who will let us in. Decide whether the decor should stay for the opening day only or for the whole weekend.
Opening day: we install the decor in the morning, before your first customers. Once the event is over, we come back to take it down – you do not need to deal with anything.
Pre-opening checklist
- Opening date and time fixed, decor date reserved.
- Brand colours and logo sent.
- Sign or photo wall text approved.
- Entrance and window measured.
- Building manager’s approval obtained (if needed).
- Company details for the VAT invoice provided.
- Photo plan: who takes pictures by the decor and how guests should tag you on social media.
